Hi everyone,
For the first time in history, two sitting U.S. Senators are facing
off for the Presidency.
Today on OpenCongress, we're launching a new feature that allows you
to compare and contrast any two Members of Congress -- especially Sen.
McCain and Sen. Obama.
The Head-to-Head Vote tool provides an at-a-glance way to see where
Senators and Representatives stand on the issues facing Congress
today. See how their votes match up on hot bills and more ::
http://www.opencongress.org/person/compare
... and here's the direct link for Sen. McCain vs. Sen. Obama ::
http://www.opencongress.org/person/compare?person1=300071&person2=400629
... last, here's a blog post with lots more information about 50 key
votes taken by the two candidates ::
http://www.opencongress.org/articles/view/728
After Election Day, Congress will return for one last session this
year, and we'll announce two major new features. One will offer a new
way to save and share political info with your friends, while the
other will offer a bird's-eye view of all the data about Congress
generated by our user community. Each will make it easier than ever to
track Congress and build government transparency, hope you'll stay
tuned.
Happy Halloween, and let us know what you think!
Thanks,
-David and the OC Team
